General information

The year was 2001. ‘The Lord of the Rings’, ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Shrek’ dominated on the big screen while ‘Sex & The City’ and ‘The Sopranos’ ruled the small screen ratings. Janet Jackson’s ‘All For You’ enjoyed a long run on the charts. Apple Computers released the innovative ‘Ipod’! It was also the year Sound Travels was born.

The intention was to create a unique service orientated travel agency, catering to niche entertainment industry clientele (film, tv and music) and associated creative businesses, as well as select VIP individuals.
On September 11, 2001, a few months after Sound Travels opened for business, al-Qaeda terrorists attacked the USA, forever changing the global travel industry landscape. Despite this set back with the travel recession that ensued, that same year, we were working on our first major music concert tour of New Zealand – Robbie Williams (who performed to sell out crowds across New Zealand, breaking all previous concert ticket sales records at the time). And our passion continues, having worked on countless music tours, tv series and feature films and tv commercials, with the expansion into corporate and luxe holiday travel.
