General information

The primary aim of this Osteopathic practice is to improve the musculo-skeletal health of the patient using a variety of manual Osteopathic techniques and active patient participation. Advice and patient education regarding their body, posture, ergonomics and exercise will be offered. Similarly the patient is consulted at each stage of the musculo-skeletal diagnosis and treatment and their expectations, concerns and abilities are taken into consideration.

Osteopathy is a way of detecting and treating damaged parts of the body such as muscles, ligaments, nerves and joints. When the body is balanced and efficient, just like a well tuned engine, it will function with the minimum of wear and tear, leaving more energy for living.

Rosedale Road Osteopaths is run by osteopath Claire Peat. Sarah Fisher and Kate Major also work at the clinic. Claire, Sarah and Kate have completed five years of study at Unitec New Zealand gaining a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Biology (B.AppSc. [HB]) and a Master of Osteopathy (M.Ost). All are registered with the New Zealand Osteopathic Council (OCNZ) and ACC.
