General information

Since 2002 SPR Limited has been the New Zealand importer and distributor of 1:43rd and 1:18th scale Spark and Bizarre models, and has supplied these brands to retail outlets nationwide. In 2011 we became the NZ distributor of the American TrueScale Miniatures brand, and in 2012 we added ARMCO and Brumm to our brand portfolio. Our newest brand is Looksmart, which was added in 2015.

In 2012 we set up an online store (www.spr-models.co.nz) to sell direct to collectors and model enthusiasts worldwide.

The five brands we sell cover a comprehensive selection of road cars; sports cars; sports racing cars; sports prototypes; Le Mans and endurance racecars; CanAm racecars; classic Grand Prix and modern F1; rally cars; Land Speed Record cars; transporters and service vehicles; and diorama accessories such as pit crew and miniature garage equipment.

• Spark Models produce a wide range of high quality, resin 1:43rd and 1:18th sports and competition vehicles with a strong emphasis on Le Mans cars and sports racing cars.

• Bizarre, as the name suggests, produce the more unusual models often overlooked by mainstream model manufacturers. They specialise in models of unconventional sports racing cars, prototypes, and Land Speed Record cars.

• TrueScale Miniatures produce hi-quality 1:43 & 1:18 road & race car models, plus a range of accessories including pit crew figurines, engines, tool chests, hoists, and garage equipment.

• ARMCO Model Cars was founded by a group of enthusiasts wanting to celebrate Australia's love affair with Aussie custom and race cars. Production of these 1:43rd resin models is limited to a certificated 500 numbered units.

• Brumm was founded in 1972, and being an Italian company, there is of course a large selection of Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Fiat and Maserati models in the Brumm range.

• Looksmart is an Italian company whose aim is to create high-quality, miniature, four-wheeled works of art. For obvious reasons, their range focuses on 1:43rd & 1:18th Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Zagato, but also covers other European marques.
