We’ve been helping New Zealanders make smart mortgage choices for over 25 years. Mortgage People – originally called Property Pack – started in 1989 and is owned and managed by Carey Brunel and Glenn Christie.

In the 25 years since Glenn and Carey opened for business, the two have been clear innovators in residential home lending in New Zealand. In fact, they were the first to broker a successful residential mortgage application between a client and bank (that’s quite some time ago now), and created the current formula used by all New Zealand lenders for residential property investment.

The list of innovations is long, but Glenn and Carey would rather point to relationships as the key measure of Mortgage People’s success. Even with a team of 40 people today, this is one business that has never lost sight of the importance of relationship – a crucial part of helping Kiwis bring their property and financial goals to life.
