General information

Infotour Guides Ltd is the publisher of a range of New Zealand themed books, blogs, guides and websites.
The company's original product, first published as website ��Techhistory, covers New Zealand's unique and fascinating technological timeline in the twentieth century. In 2016 this was published as a book; Technological Innovation and Economic Growth in New Zealand: 1918 to "Think Big".
The Travel website DayOut New Zealand followed in 2001 linking Kiwis and visitors alike to places to visit
An early entry into the webscape of New Zealand, DayOut evolved with the net, in 2005 adding a DayOut blog . The blog traces some of the history of the DayOut brand latterly evolving towards pure photography.
DayOut meantime, kept up with the times and ahead of its time, a mobile version was built by Jay Neilsen. Jay's implementation of the mobile site in a version catering for smartphones was accepted as a finalist in the 2010 ONYA awards. Dayout's audio guides were now available to travellers on the go.
Now the net is in a mobile age and responsive designs are needed. Infotour Guides is pushing to stay current, up cycling the extensive and thoughtfully gathered content of DayOut into a new platform.
In conjunction with Digital outfitters BKA NZPlaces is taking shape. It has the theme Explore the Cultural Landscape. Visitors to the new site will be encouraged to submit their images, impressions and descriptions of the places in New Zealand which have meaning for them. This site is being built now.
