General information
Chocolate Velvet was started in 2004 by Phil and Leanne Lash, specialising in wedding and birthday cakes but the business has grown into much more than just offering cakes to our Nelson customers. Visit our Nayland Road shop for a whole range of yummy cheesecakes, tarts, pies, whole cakes, cakes by the slice, slices, truffles, chocolates, muffins, friands, sandwiches from our lunch bar and much much more.
We also offer catering for work shouts, business lunches, meetings etc. We can deliver to your work place at a time that suits you!
The goal was, and continues to be, a specialised bakery producing top of the line cakes all made from scratch (no pre mixes or packet mixes).
Our shop is open Monday – Friday 6.30am – 4pm, and Saturday 8am – 1pm. Closed Sundays.
We have recently opened the Chocolate Velvet Patisserie in Richmond at 250 Queen Street. We sell coffee, muffins, friands, truffles, slices, cakes, desserts and much more.
