Here at Community Law Otago we provide free legal advice, education and information for the people of Otago.

Funded by the Ministry of Justice and Central Lakes Trust.

Staffed by volunteer law students and qualified lawyers.

Drop in advice times:
Monday to Wednesday - 5.30-7.30pm
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday- 12.30-2.00pm

Clinics in Aexandra Cromwell Queenstown and Wanaka - on the first Tues/Wed combination of 11 months of the year.
Clinics in Balclutha and Milton on the third Thursday of each month 11 months of the year.
Clinics in Oamaru every three weeks.

Our mission here at Community Law Otago is:

To provide a community legal service to meet unmet legal needs, including the provision of legal advice and the production of legal information resource material.

To inform and educate the community about their legal rights and obligations and the legal system.

To promote the honouring of the Treaty of Waitangi and develop a partnership response with Tangata Whenua on the provision of legal services.

To initiate and work for appropriate law reform to assist individuals and groups in the community.

To aid and assist the development of the community law centre movement
