General information
Originally started and supplied by a local fisherman, Waikouaiti Fish Inn continues to successfully source fresh fish. The secret to its success is simply that all fish is cooked once only, for all customers.
Its present owners, Alister and Den Baird, assisted by brother-in-law Oukra also do an extensive range of Asian, Cambodian, Thai and Indian stirfrys and 4-5 types of fish are for sale cooked or fresh. NZ scallops, Bluff oysters (in season March - August)] cooked and au naturale are also available.
Shop hours are flexible - from 11 a.m every day now (including all holidays) until a closing time of not until after 8 pm and much later on a beautiful, warm, busy day. Free WIFI available too!
