Powerboat Training

General information

We offer training on all types of powerboats from Jet-skis to superyacht motor cruisers. Many of our qualifications are valid not just in New Zealand but also internationally.

We can come and train you on your boat or you can use one of ours.

All of our courses can be run for you personally on a one to one basis or you can come and join a group.

We run Superyacht Crew Training courses in addition to our recreational boatie courses, why not contact us and ask what we can do for your specific requirements? We also teach CBES Dayskipper, Boatmaster and Marine VHF courses.

Our most popular powerboat course is the RYA Powerboat Level 2 course which unlike the Dayskipper is recognised all around the world and is a great practical course teaching you to drive a boat.
An important question you should ask any powerboat training school in New Zealand is, "Are the instructors commercially licenced by Maritime New Zealand and are all vessels used surveyed by Maritime New Zealand as safe and fit for purpose?" Don't risk your safety or quality of training by choosing a cheap and inferior training school which does not comply to these standards. All our instructors are fully licensed and our vessels are in current safety survey and assessed annually by Maritime New Zealand
