For Demelza Davidson making dresses is a passion she has pursued since she was a little girl. She was influenced by her mother who taught Demelza the essentials of sewing at age 8, and early on it was evident she had strong creative abilities. At high school Demelza entered fashion competitions and won, then pursued her creative ambition by studying at Wanganui Polytechnic's Fashion Design School.
Since graduating in 1998 with a Bachelor of Fashion and Design, Demelza has worked in a variety of areas in the fashion industry; from machining, to design and product development.
In 2001 Demelza established her own made-to-measure bridal and evening-wear business which has grown from strength to strength by working closely with her clientele and from word of mouth recommendations.
Now she presents a premier collection of unique bridal gowns, each of which she has personally designed and constructed to represent the beauty and passion of the Demelza label."
