StretchSense has been developing electroactive polymer technology for more than a decade. The company began in 2012 as a spinout from the Biomimetics Lab of Auckland University’s Bioengineering Institute. StretchSense has since evolved to give entrepreneurial engineers around the world the ability to rapidly develop ‘third generation’ wearables where the garment is the sensor.
