Born back in 1996, Fly Buys is the biggest and most effective coalition loyalty programme in New Zealand. It’s a brilliantly simple formula: members collect points when they shop with our partners and then use those points to shop for rewards – a wee treat for doing the everyday shopping or paying the bills.

We have a mammoth 2.4 million active cardholders, and we’re getting more every day – in fact, on average we get 130,000 Kiwis joining each year. With 74% of Kiwi households involved and 100% brand awareness, Fly Buys is one of the most successful loyalty programmes in the world.

50% of members say they do all they can to maximise points or that Fly Buys is a major consideration in where they shop.

Our members collect Fly Buys points at around 300,000 transactions every day. It’s an integral part of their day-to-day shopping experience.

Since Fly Buys began, our members have bought a whopping eight million products using their points. Our members keep their money in their pockets and use their points instead.

We put a lot of effort into our product range. After all, for members it’s pretty much the entire point of Fly Buys. We have over a thousand products on offer at any moment we like to strike a balance between the obscure (Swanndri dog cover, anyone?) and the classics (evidence suggests we are a nation of slow cookers).
