General information
Playspace's guiding philosophy is based on the spirit of co-operation between parents, whānau, teachers and children. We uphold the unique nature of Playspace as a parent co-operative where parents and teachers work in partnership to manage and govern the centre and recognise this is fundamental to creating a strong, rich, familial space for our children.
We have two qualified and registered teachers, inspired by the Aotearoa New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum Te Whāriki. The teachers are committed to engaging with children in a respectful, unhurried and child-centred way.
We value a peaceful, safe, challenging and beautiful environment where children have uninterrupted time for free play with natural and open-ended resources and are empowered to explore, discover and grow.
