General information

Wine Tours By Bike has been in business of hiring bikes for over 19 years and offers you the chance to have a self-guided/unguided bike tour around the cellar doors, where you have the flexibility and independence to choose how you spend your time. We don't pre-select which cellar doors you are going to visit, instead, you get to decide the ones you want to go to so you can then bike at your own pace and you don't have to worry about keeping up with others.
Even though it costs less than guided bike tours, you will still be supported with a backup service, so if something happens to your bike whilst you are out, we will be there to replace it within minutes, so you can explore on your own and know that we are here if you need us.

Keeping you and those around you safe is also our number one priority, so if you are staying in Renwick or Blenheim for the night, please don't risk drink/driving. We offer a FREE PICKUP & DROP OFF service (within 15km of our base in Blicks Road) as this will make your time out on the bikes so much more enjoyable.

Starting out here in Renwick means you could be at your first cellar door within 2 MINUTES of leaving our front gate.

We have 3 bike hire start times:

Bike Hire A (Self-Guided)
Pick up from accommodation at 9.30am
Briefing starts at 10.00am
Bike hire ends at 3.00pm
Drop off to accommodation between 3.15pm and 3.30pm

Bike Hire B (Self-Guided)
Pick up from accommodation at 10.30am
Briefing starts at 11.00am
Bike hire ends at 4.00pm
Drop off to accommodation between 4.15pm and 4.30pm

Bike Hire C (Self-Guided)
Pick up from accommodation at 11.30am
Briefing starts at 12.00 Noon
Bike hire ends at 5.00pm
Drop off to accommodation between 5.15pm and 5.30pm

If arriving after 12 Noon (maybe on the ferry or from out of town), just give us a call & we will do our best to arrange an alternative start time for you:-)

The bikes can be enjoyed by young and old alike, whether you are travelling alone, as a couple, a family or in a group.

We are located at Tripadvisor's award winning, Hillsfield House B&B in Renwick, (only 10 minutes by car from Blenheim), in the heart of the Marlborough Wine Region. We are now in our 19th season and proud to display TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Awards for 2011-2017 inc.

$45.00 p/p Single Cruiser Bike
$80.00 per couple for a Tandem Cruiser
$45.00 p/p Single Cruiser Trike (for those who need a confidence boost ;-)
$100.00 per couple for the 2 seater Roadster
$160.00 for 4 people for the 4 seater Roadster
